Inside SuMisura’s serene Singapore headquarters for a TCM wellness brand
SuMisura raises the bar for workspace design with an exceptionally inviting aesthetic and a soothing palette in this Singapore family office, showcasing its expertise in commercial office interior design.

The owner of a Singapore-based Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and wellness-focused company had desired a single-family office space that would personify the brand’s passion for healing through Chinese herbs and medicine. Luxury interior design firm SuMisura was appointed to turn this dream into reality, taking into consideration functional needs as well as the owner’s philosophy of cultivating balance, healing with love, and honouring tradition.

What resulted is a light-filled, 6,000 sq ft corporate space nestled in downtown Singapore; an elegant office replete with natural materials, organic shapes and tranquil hues, complemented by the picturesque cityscape and ocean views.
Healing Hands
SuMisura drew upon its design savvy and knowledge gleaned from discussions with the client to craft an office space that wears its inspirations proudly—highlighting its strength in bespoke interior design, augmented by custom pieces that add uniqueness throughout the premises.
Customised wall lamps illuminate the corridor leading to the main entrance, steering visitors towards the welcoming reception lounge. Here, a bespoke counter intrigues with its rock-like form and texture, complete with an emblem of the Chinese word “爱” (affection) in dark bronze. The shape of the reception counter makes a compelling juxtaposition against the wooden floor panels, which are arranged in a herringbone pattern, heightening visual interest.

Behind the counter hangs Writing of Blessings, a large artwork by Singaporean artist Lim Tze Peng that adds subtle warm hues to this tableau. Across from the reception counter, a sculptural Aladino lamp from Armani Casa, plush seats and see-through timber screens come together to create a calming effect.
The display shelves and entertainment lounge are awash in warm timber tones that impart a timeless, energising quality. The latter space, which is large enough to house 30 guests, features the distinctive Stilt chairs in solid oak and leather by Toan Nguyen.
A beautifully lit pantry counter and central island with a tactile fluted base and Calacatta Gold top represent a nexus where staff and visitors alike can gather to mingle and enjoy rejuvenating herbal concoctions and floral teas.
Pink of Health
Chinese herbal philosophy guides the colour palette throughout the office, with the hues of restorative teas and dried herbs mirrored via earthy green, muted brown and soft cream shades. The use of natural materials such as stone, clay, timber and bamboo allude to cultural tradition and foster a connection with nature. Greenery graces each workstation, improving air quality
and easing eye strain.
“The curves and organic shapes used in the spaces where the staff or visitors gather remind all who enter of impermanence and flow—that nothing stands still,” adds Lim.
Interestingly, the office also features a number of “hidden” spaces or secret sanctuaries for rest and privacy. Nooks and corners were worked into the design, with restrooms and storage space tucked away behind camouflaged doors integrated seamlessly with the wooden feature walls.
Lim reveals that the project transcended being just another assignment to become a shared journey of exploration. “By the time the final stone was laid and the last plant was positioned, the space carried not only the owner’s vision, but the imprint of friendship—a testament to what happens when design is rooted in shared values,” she concludes.
